G-Dragon Teams Up With McDonald’s Singapore for Bulgogi Burgers, Mystery Photocards and Limited-Edition Merch

K-pop superstar G-Dragon is bringing his distinctive style to McDonald’s Singapore, with a new collaboration featuring Korean-inspired burgers, mystery photocards and limited-edition merchandise from his fashion label PEACEMINUSONE.

The collaboration launches on Oct. 1, giving fans a chance to collect G-Dragon-themed photocards while trying two new menu items: the Spicy Bulgogi Chicken Burger and the Bulgogi Beef Burger.

The biggest draw for collectors could be the mystery photocards. Every Spicy Bulgogi Chicken Burger meal, whether the single or double version, comes with one randomly selected card from three designs, while stocks last.

The Spicy Bulgogi Chicken Burger features crispy chicken coated in a sweet-and-spicy bulgogi sauce with lettuce. The beef version pairs a beef patty with the same Korean-inspired sauce.

Both will be available from 11am during non-breakfast hours from Oct. 1, with the items offered at participating McDonald’s outlets as well as through delivery and drive-through channels.

But the collaboration does not stop with food.

From Oct. 8 at 11am, fans can also get limited-edition McDonald’s x PEACEMINUSONE merchandise. The collection includes a tote bag priced at S$12.90 with a meal purchase and a three-design pins set priced at S$5.90 with a meal. The tote bag and pins can also be purchased together for S$18.80 with a meal, subject to availability.

MyM members will also have access to a limited-edition Vintage Hat for S$9.90 with a minimum S$10 spend. The hat will be available at selected McDonald’s outlets.

The timing of the collaboration is also significant for BigBang fans.

G-Dragon’s group BigBang is scheduled to perform in Singapore on Oct. 17 and 18, meaning the McDonald’s campaign will arrive just weeks before the group’s highly anticipated concerts. A K-pop Rave Party will also take place at McDonald’s Aperia Mall on Oct. 16, one day before the first concert.

The rave party will be limited to fans who purchase a special KPOP Bundle through the McDonald’s app. The S$39.90 bundle includes two burger upsized meal vouchers and two event tickets, with only 60 bundles available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those attending the Oct. 16 event can also expect exclusive collectibles, including a bandana, collectible card topper and photobooth keepsakes. Prize draws during the event will include concert tickets and McDonald’s vouchers.

The collaboration also brings back several familiar McDonald’s favourites. Hershey’s soft-serve desserts return on Oct. 1, while Spicy Chicken McNuggets return from Oct. 15, extending the Korean-inspired campaign throughout the month.

For G-Dragon, the partnership adds another major global brand collaboration to his influence beyond music. The artist has long combined K-pop, fashion and visual culture through PEACEMINUSONE, making the collaboration as much a collectible-driven campaign as a fast-food launch.

For McDonald’s Singapore, meanwhile, the campaign arrives at a moment when K-pop continues to generate strong interest among Singapore consumers, with the BigBang concerts providing an additional opportunity to connect the brand with fans visiting or living in the city.

With three mystery photocards, exclusive PEACEMINUSONE merchandise and a major K-pop event all arriving within weeks, the bigger question is how quickly fans will rush to collect the limited-edition items before stocks disappear.
