SINGAPORE — Homeowners hunting for a new mattress or furniture upgrade have another clearance event to watch, and this one comes with an unexpected twist.
Four Star is holding an Outram Park Moving Out Sale at its Raeburn Park showroom from September 16 to 20, 2026, promising discounts of up to 90 per cent on selected mattresses, bedframes and furniture, alongside a 1-for-1 offer on selected mattress models.
What makes the timing notable is that the Raeburn Park location appears to be relatively new.
Promotions site Great Deals Singapore reported that Four Star marked the grand opening of the Raeburn Park showroom from June 1 to 7, 2026, meaning the Moving Out Sale is taking place only a little more than three months after that opening campaign.
AsiaOne’s latest story does not specify why the outlet is moving out or whether the Raeburn Park location is closing permanently, so shoppers should avoid assuming the reason behind the move unless Four Star provides further details. The company’s current official store locator also does not list Raeburn Park among its displayed galleries and boutiques.
That makes the discounts — rather than speculation over the move — the main story for consumers.
Selected mattresses come with a 1-for-1 offer
Among the biggest advertised deals is a 1-for-1 promotion on selected Detense ArcticSilk mattresses.
Under the promotion reported by AsiaOne, customers buying a selected King-size Detense ArcticSilk mattress can receive a Super Single mattress, while selected Queen purchases come with a Single mattress. Terms and conditions apply, so the offer should not be interpreted as covering every mattress in the range.
The sale also features Four Star’s newer Chiro Bioplus Mattress, which the company markets with its MeshMatrix AirCore system and breathable side panels intended to improve airflow.
Another highlighted product, the Detense ArcticSilk mattress, uses individual pocketed springs designed to reduce motion transfer between sleepers. Four Star also promotes anti-static and cooling-related features in parts of the range.
Those performance descriptions are manufacturer claims rather than independent medical findings, so shoppers comparing mattresses should test them personally rather than relying solely on marketing terminology.
Mattress purchases during the promotion are also advertised with warranty coverage of up to 15 years and complimentary one-for-one mattress disposal.
Small Singapore bedrooms are clearly part of the sales pitch
The promotion is not limited to mattresses.
Four Star is also pushing several bed designs aimed at households trying to squeeze more storage or sleeping capacity into limited space.
Its Space Saviour Storage Bed uses the unused area beneath the mattress for storage and comes with a hydraulic lifting mechanism. Buyers can choose configurations that include front- or side-lifting systems and optional drawers.
Another option, the Wabi-Sabi Inset Bed, uses a recessed construction intended to keep the mattress in place while hiding more of the underlying frame.
For households that periodically need another sleeping area, Four Star is also promoting a pull-out bed that can be expanded into a Queen-size arrangement. Customers can customise selected frames with different headboards, upholstery and materials.
The focus on storage is hardly surprising in Singapore, where maximising usable floor area can be particularly important for apartment owners furnishing compact bedrooms.
Sofa buyers get another unusual promotion
Living-room furniture is part of the clearance too.
Four Star’s incliner sofa is marketed as requiring zero wall clearance, allowing it to recline without demanding a large gap behind the sofa.
Another model combines a push-back sofa with an integrated coffee table and can be converted into a sofa bed, according to the sale listing. Upholstery options include water-repellent fabrics and leather.
There is also a purchase incentive: customers who spend at least S$2,000 on a three-seater sofa during the sale are advertised to receive an armchair free, subject to the promotion’s terms.
Up to 90% off sounds dramatic — but Four Star has used similar clearance offers before
Consumers should note that “up to 90% off” means the maximum markdown applies only to qualifying products, not necessarily everything in the showroom.
Four Star has also run several major discount campaigns during 2026.
In July, Mothership covered — and clearly labelled as branded content — a Four Star Kallang pre-renovation campaign advertising discounts of up to 90 per cent on mattresses, sofas and other furniture.
AsiaOne subsequently reported a National Day warehouse event offering 61 per cent off more than 5,000 items, followed later in August by another warehouse sale advertising savings of up to 90 per cent across more than 1,000 items.
In other words, the Raeburn Park promotion is a sizeable sale, but shoppers comparing value may still want to examine the actual selling price of a particular model rather than treating the headline percentage as the saving on every item.
From a Singapore shophouse to more than five decades in bedding
Four Star says it has operated in Singapore since 1968, beginning by handcrafting mattresses from a single shophouse before expanding into mattresses, bedframes, sofas and hospitality bedding.
AsiaOne’s coverage of the company’s 58th anniversary earlier this year also traced the brand’s origins to 1968 and highlighted its progression into more specialised sleep products and furniture.
Its current official store locator lists the Kallang flagship, Hougang Mall and a White Sands pop-up among its own galleries, alongside authorised retail locations including City Square Mall, Causeway Point, Eastpoint Mall, Lot One, Century Square and Tradehub 21.
The important detail shoppers should know before heading down
There is one important editorial disclosure.
AsiaOne states that its article about the Outram Park Moving Out Sale was produced in partnership with Four Star. It is therefore promotional content rather than an independent product review.
Likewise, some other media coverage of previous Four Star promotions has been explicitly branded or commercial in nature. Mothership, for example, labels its July Four Star clearance story as “Branded.”
That does not invalidate the advertised sale details, but buyers should still compare model numbers, normal selling prices, warranty conditions, delivery terms and the exact eligibility requirements for free gifts before committing to a large purchase.
And with headline discounts advertised at up to 90 per cent, the biggest saving may depend less on how quickly shoppers arrive — and more on whether the particular mattress or sofa they actually want is one of the products carrying the deepest markdown.
