Tacloban School Shooting Takes a Major Legal Turn — Now the Policewoman Who Owned the Gun Faces a Criminal Case
TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines — More than two months after a deadly school shooting stunned Tacloban City, prosecutors have taken a major step toward holding an adult firearm owner accountable for a gun allegedly accessed and used by a minor during the attack. The Office of the City Prosecutor in Tacloban has recommended the filing of a criminal case against Police Staff Sergeant Arla Ray Pacencia, the aunt of one of the two minors linked to the June 22 shooting at San Jose National High School.
