Robinsons Hotels Brings 10 Brands and 30 Properties Together for Travel Fair — But Its Bigger Ambition Could Reshape Philippine Tourism

MANILA, Philippines — The Gokongwei family’s Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR) brought together 10 hospitality brands, 30 properties and major travel industry partners for its first nationwide hotel travel fair, offering Filipino travelers access to exclusive accommodation deals, airline promotions and vacation packages.

Held from October 16 to 18, 2026, at the Main Atrium of Robinsons Galleria, the three-day event combined luxury resorts, business hotels, budget accommodations and travel-related services under one roof.

But beyond discounted rooms and exclusive booking privileges, the initiative revealed a bigger ambition: making Robinsons Hotels a central player in how Filipinos discover, book and experience destinations across the country.

10 Hotel Brands, 30 Properties, One Major Tourism Push

Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, the hospitality arm of Robinsons Land Corporation, has built a portfolio spanning 30 properties across 20 Philippine cities and municipalities.

The group describes itself as the country’s largest and most diversified hospitality operator, with accommodations ranging from premium five-star experiences to essential-value hotels targeting budget-conscious travelers.

Its inaugural travel fair showcased ten hotel brands and participating properties:

  1. NUSTAR Cebu
  2. Fili at NUSTAR Cebu
  3. Grand Summit General Santos
  4. Summit Hotels and Resorts
  5. Go Hotels
  6. Go Hotels Plus
  7. Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria
  8. Holiday Inn & Suites Manila Galleria
  9. The Westin Manila
  10. Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu

The lineup brought together homegrown Robinsons hospitality concepts and internationally recognized hotel brands.

Under the campaign theme “Reasons to Travel,” the company positioned the event as an opportunity for customers to explore Philippine destinations at different price points.

The combination allowed travelers to compare everything from affordable city accommodations to luxury beachfront stays and destination wedding venues.

Hotel Deals Started as Low as ₱1,388

One of the fair’s most tangible attractions was its published accommodation pricing.

According to Go Hotels’ official travel fair promotional page, selected room vouchers carried the following net rates:

  • Go Hotels Dumaguete — ₱1,388
  • Go Hotels Otis Manila — ₱1,388
  • Go Hotels Tacloban — ₱1,488
  • Go Hotels Butuan — ₱1,588
  • Go Hotels Puerto Princesa — ₱1,588
  • Go Hotels Iloilo — ₱1,688
  • Go Hotels Iligan — ₱1,788
  • Go Hotels Plus Bacolod — ₱1,788

These were promotional voucher rates for purchases made during the October 16–18 travel fair, not a guarantee of presently available room prices.

The official conditions also specified that eligible vouchers could generally be redeemed for stays through October 18, 2027, subject to restrictions and blackout dates.

Vouchers were transferable but nonrefundable and valid only at the hotel indicated.

That distinction matters for travelers attracted by low advertised prices: the value of a discounted room depends not only on the purchase price but also on the available stay dates and booking conditions.

Cebu Pacific, GoTyme, Go Rewards and UnionBank Joined the Fair

The event went beyond hotel accommodation.

Robinsons Hotels assembled several travel, banking and loyalty partners to give customers additional options when planning their trips.

Participating companies included Cebu Pacific, GoTyme Bank, Go Rewards and UnionBank.

Visitors were offered access to special Cebu Pacific fares, eligible banking privileges, reward points promotions, hotel vouchers and other purchase incentives.

Among the highlighted benefits was a Go Rewards promotion allowing participating members to redeem rewards using 50% fewer points than normally required under the promotion’s terms.

UnionBank cardholders were also offered additional privileges, while GoTyme Bank customers had access to reward-earning opportunities.

These partnerships reflect a broader strategy of connecting hotel bookings with flights, digital banking and customer loyalty programs.

For travelers, bringing several services into one venue can simplify trip planning.

For Robinsons Hotels, the arrangement creates opportunities to reach customers through multiple businesses within and beyond the Gokongwei group’s commercial ecosystem.

Beyond Boracay and Palawan: Robinsons Wants Filipinos to Explore More Destinations

While the Philippines is internationally known for beaches and established tourism centers, Robinsons Hotels used the fair to highlight less familiar travel experiences.

Barun Jolly, senior vice president and business unit general manager of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, emphasized the potential of destinations outside the country’s most established tourism circuits.

Among the attractions highlighted were the waterfalls of Iligan, surf experiences around Tacloban, the white sandbars of Kalanggaman Island and Callao Cave in Cagayan.

The strategy recognizes that domestic tourism can support a wider range of communities, businesses and local economies.

Encouraging travelers to visit secondary cities and emerging destinations could increase demand for accommodation, transportation, restaurants, guides and other tourism-related services.

However, attracting more visitors also depends on transport accessibility, destination infrastructure and the quality of the overall travel experience.

Luxury Hotels and Budget Stays Target Different Filipino Travelers

The travel fair demonstrated the range of customers Robinsons Hotels is attempting to serve.

At the luxury end, Fili at NUSTAR Cebu and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu cater to travelers seeking premium accommodations and resort experiences.

The Westin Manila, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria and Holiday Inn & Suites Manila Galleria provide internationally branded hospitality offerings.

Meanwhile, Summit Hotels and Resorts targets leisure and business travelers, while Go Hotels and Go Hotels Plus compete in the more affordable accommodation segment.

This diversified model gives Robinsons exposure to multiple parts of the hospitality market.

When demand weakens in one segment, other customer groups may provide additional opportunities, although the benefits depend on actual occupancy, room rates and operating performance.

For Robinsons Land, hospitality also complements its broader real estate business, which includes shopping malls, offices, residential properties and integrated developments.

Robinsons Hotels Is Already Planning Its Next Expansion

The October travel fair also came as Robinsons Hotels continued developing new properties.

One major project is Fili Hotel Bridgetowne, the planned Metro Manila expansion of its homegrown luxury hotel concept.

The project, targeted for opening in the fourth quarter of 2027, received the Asia’s Leading New Luxury Hotel Development Project 2026 recognition at the World Travel Awards.

The move would extend the Fili brand beyond its Cebu flagship and introduce the company’s Filipino luxury hospitality concept into the country’s biggest metropolitan market.

Another development is Grand Summit Bohol, an upscale beachfront resort planned for Panglao Island.

Robinsons Hotels broke ground on the Bohol project in May 2026, with an expected opening in 2029.

The development is planned to feature more than 200 guestrooms and suites, function venues and facilities for leisure travelers and events.

These projects show that the group’s travel fair was part of a broader effort to support both customer acquisition and long-term hotel expansion.

Weddings, Corporate Events and Dining Became Part of the Experience

Robinsons Hotels also promoted its properties as destinations for celebrations and business events.

A dedicated events section presented wedding venues, ballrooms, meeting rooms and facilities for corporate gatherings.

Travel fair visitors could explore special event packages across participating hotel brands.

The initiative also highlighted the group’s food and beverage offerings.

Café Summit showcased baked specialties, while The Westin Manila and Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria presented selected culinary products.

R Coffee, Robinsons Hotels’ signature coffee brand, was also featured.

These activities underscored the importance of hotel revenue beyond overnight room bookings.

Dining, weddings, meetings, conferences and social celebrations can provide additional income streams while allowing properties to build stronger relationships with local customers.

The Bigger Tourism Battle: Winning the Filipino Traveler

The October event reflected growing competition among Philippine hospitality operators for both domestic and international customers.

Hotel groups are increasingly expected to offer more than a comfortable room.

Competitive pricing, digital booking convenience, destination experiences, loyalty rewards and accessible transportation all influence travelers’ decisions.

Robinsons Hotels’ strategy brings many of those elements together through partnerships with other established businesses.

The company’s nationwide hotel network provides additional opportunities to promote less-visited destinations and reach customers with different travel budgets.

But the ultimate commercial impact of the three-day event remains unconfirmed.

Robinsons Hotels has not disclosed verified fair-specific booking totals, sales revenue or visitor conversion figures in the sources reviewed for this report.

Without those figures, it is too early to conclude how much additional business the event generated.

Will Robinsons’ Travel Fair Strategy Deliver Long-Term Growth?

For Filipino travelers, the inaugural Robinsons Hotels and Resorts Travel Fair offered an opportunity to secure accommodation vouchers, access exclusive offers and discover destinations across the Philippines.

For Robinsons Land, the larger opportunity is building a hospitality business capable of connecting travelers to multiple services and hotel brands across the country.

The next test will be whether the company can turn short-term promotions into repeat bookings, stronger hotel occupancy and sustainable growth.

The travel fair may have lasted only three days, but Robinsons Hotels’ bigger ambition is clear: make its network of 10 brands and 30 properties a leading choice for Filipinos planning their next trip. Whether that strategy can transform hotel discounts into long-term customer loyalty remains the question.
